Truck & Bus Builder INDIA is the title of a new publication from Truck & Bus Builder Publishing Ltd. It is published quarterly with the first issue being September 2007.
The aim of Truck & Bus Builder INDIA is to highlight and track the key commercial vehicle manufacturing developments occurring within India and to review economic, cultural and legislative influences, impacting on this sector.
The commercial vehicle industry, in terms of production and domestic sales, is booming. In just five years, sales of commercial vehicles above 5t gvw have more than doubled, with much of this growth coming from demand for heavy trucks (above 12t gvw). Many of the world’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers have recognised this growth and have or are in the process of developing business in India through wholly owned subsidiaries, licensed partnerships or joint venture agreements.
In this first issue of Truck & Bus Builder INDIA, we record key recent developments and the strategy of some of the leading domestic and foreign OEM and component manufacturing companies; look at the investment in the road networks, economic growth of the freight industry in general and how legislation is impacting the sector. We also review the market situation to fiscal year ends 2006 / 07 and 2005 / 06 by manufacturer, weight and vehicle type.
This new publication on India is complimentary with a subscription to our monthly publication, Truck & Bus Builder. However, Truck & Bus Builder INDIA is available to be purchased separately. It can be purchased in single issues or as an annual subscription of four quarterly issues.
