The Solution:
The Acorn Platinum Mini is an economic solution for the treatment of domestic waste from a single dwelling.

Typical applications:
Single domestic dwelling where there is no access to mains drainage.

Gravity or pumped outlet versions available.

Unlike many other sewage treatment plants, the Platinum Mini has a continuous recycle system and secondary sludge return system (features normally only found on much larger and more expensive plants). These features ensure that the sewage liquor is passed through the filter media over and over again, resulting in improved solids breakdown along with a clarified final effluent of the highest standard (20:30:20).

The compressor is the heart of the unit, and the type installed in the Platinum MINI works on the principle of electromagnetic oscillation. This means that it is completely oil free and has minimal moving parts. This also means that the compressor is very efficient and requires far less power to operate than other types. An added bonus is that this makes the unit virtually silent in operation.

With this type of compressor, it is only the diaphragm that moves, and consequently that is the only part that, after several years, may need replacement, which is a quick, simple and economic task; making it ready for several more years trouble-free service.

The Platinum Mini package sewage treatment plant is designed to treat domestic foul waste for up to six persons.

The Mini is available with standard gravity outlet, or optional pumped outlet where the soakaway or discharge point is at a higher level. The outlet pump is housed within the body of the plant.

The key features of the Platinum MINI are the low power consumption and reduced maintenance element. These make it the perfect choice for the “off-mains” dwelling.

The Biological Aerated Filter (BAF) process used in the Platinum range is a development of the traditional trickling filter process and is widely used by the major water companies throughout the UK.
